Annick Petrus has taught and directed several schools in Saint Martin. A native of Saint Martin, she is also a lieutenant officer in the island's fire department. She was first elected to the Saint Martin Territorial Council in 2017 as 3rd Vice-President in charge of the Solidarity and Families delegation and the Education and Training delegation. In 2020, she ran for the Senate and was elected as a senator within the Les Républicains party.
