The first official visit of Marie Guevenoux, Minister Delegate for Overseas Territories, to Saint-Martin soil resulted in the signing of the State-COM convergence and transformation contract for the period 2024-2027. This development contract is endowed with funding of 115 million euros, of which 43.5 million are provided by the State and 71.4 million by the Collectivité.

President Louis Mussington and Semsamar CEO Alain Richardson have jointly decided to end the dispute that has been ongoing since 2018 between the Collectivité de Saint-Martin and its mixed economy company, regarding the management of the Port la Royale marina in Marigot. The signing of this agreement allows the Collectivité to end the public service delegation entrusted to Semsamar in 2007 and to recover full management of its property, in agreement with its partners.

On March 18 and 19, 2024, the European Funds Monitoring Committee was held in Saint-Martin. Several delegations from Brussels, Paris and Guadeloupe traveled to take stock of the progress of the consumption of European funds in the territory, in the context of the closure of the 2014-2020 program and the launch of the new 2021-2027 programming.
