Voted in 2018, this plan is a guiding framework for local public sports policy. It is structured around strategic axes resulting from the preliminary diagnosis of the sporting landscape of Saint-Martin.
The Territorial Sports Development Plan: why?
The creation of the Territorial Sports Development Plan (STDS) in Saint-Martin is essential to coordinate the efforts of the different stakeholders and ensure coherent strategic planning. By bringing together the Collectivité, sports associations, educational establishments and private companies, the STDS makes it possible to optimize the development of sports infrastructures, thus guaranteeing quality facilities accessible to all residents.
The STDS also helps promote sports practice through various initiatives targeting all age groups, including people with disabilities. By encouraging the population to practice sporting activities, the scheme significantly contributes to improving public health, reducing the risks of diseases linked to a sedentary lifestyle and strengthening everyone's mental and social well-being.
