Firefighter training and recruitment

The tests are open to people of French nationality aged 18 on January 1 of the year of the tests. Once on duty, volunteer firefighters must be available for a minimum of 240 hours per year, or 20 hours per month on average.

- sports events: 50 m swimming, light Luc test and/or VAMEVAL, flexibility, push-ups, killy, core training - written tests: French and mathematics at college level (without calculator) - interview with a jury - fitness medical examination (in addition, a medical certificate dated less than three months attesting to fitness for sport and swimming will be required).

Successful candidates will then be trained in personal rescue and fire management. The training course took place in Saint-Martin and is divided into 2 sessions of 2 weeks.
