Community life: Martine Beldor draws up a report rich in achievements
Martine BELDOR, territorial councilor in charge of associative life within the Human Development and Citizenship delegation, chaired by the 3rd vice-president Dominique LOUISY, received the press, Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in order to take stock of the actions carried out since 2022 in favor of supporting the associative network and to officially open the campaign of subsidies to associations, for the 2025 financial year.

As the subsidy campaign for associations for the 2025 budget year is officially launched on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, territorial councilor Martine Beldor took advantage of this news to take stock of the actions carried out under her mandate. Since April 2022, significant improvements have been made for the benefit of associations in the territory.
The Collectivité subsidizes approximately 200 associations each year, based on the operation and implementation of projects, for a total budget (all sectors of activity combined) of approximately 3.5 million euros; a public policy strongly supported by European funds (mainly ESF, but also ERDF and aid for calls for projects of the urban policy). Suffice to say that the Collectivité 's effort to support the associations of the territory is particularly sustained.
At the request of the elected officials in charge, the management of community life had to put in place new support mechanisms such as a regulation and a revised framework for the allocation of subsidies, now equipped with a systematic control of the proper use of public funds, carried out by the management of the evaluation of public policies and performance management.
The creation of the Sandy Ground PAVA in 2023, run in partnership with the Cogito association, and soon to be deployed in Quartier d'Orléans, is a support center that is highly appreciated by association volunteers. It has now become an essential reception point in the neighborhood.
To enable associations to structure themselves and help them properly complete grant applications, local participatory association workshops are organized in the neighborhoods each year.
As highlighted by Martine Beldor, thanks to the management toolbox developed in partnership with Unite Caribbean, and the workshops to get started with the toolbox, associations now have concrete help and tools available to manage their structure, available below, not forgetting the user guide.

Martine Beldor reminds us that the Collectivité 's approach is based on co-construction and relies on 3 essential pillars: Structural support, reinforced support and the promotion and recognition of associative commitment; promotion notably involves the organization of a Gala specially dedicated to the recognition of volunteers rewarded with the commitment medal.
To support these local public policies, the Collectivité has created its own Directory of Associations. The 2025 edition has just been released and lists the contact details of 300 associations based in the territory. Associations wishing to appear in the directory can contact the Directorate of Community Life.
To conclude, Martine Beldor officially informs the associative network of the launch of the 2025 grant campaign, open from November 6, 2024 to January 5, 2025. Associations are invited to come forward before January 5.
