Sint Marteen in brief
Sint Maarten is one of the four autonomous countries that form the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Aruba, Curaçao, Netherlands and Sint-Maarten).
As an autonomous country, Sint Marteen has its own constitution, parliament, prime minister and government. The Kingdom of the Netherlands exercises its representation there through a governor.
Sint Maarten has an area of 41 km2 and its population is 40,614 inhabitants (2018).
