The networks and equipment department manages essential infrastructure networks such as water, electricity and telecommunications.

Networks and equipment management

Started by the Collectivité of Saint-Martin in 2020 and divided into several phases over nearly three years, this vast operation made it possible to get rid of annoying potholes on the road across the entire island, after a first phase burying electrical networks and optical fiber post-Irma. The total budget for this project amounts to more than 3.5 million euros.

In order to allow better visibility day and night as well as greater durability, signaling work was carried out in 2023 to apply hot-coated retro-reflective paint to the newly renovated network, guaranteeing 2 million wheel passages. The total cost of the work amounted to more than one million euros, distributed equitably between the Collectivité of Saint-Martin and the French State.
