Committed to the development of education and teaching in Saint-Martin, Dominique Louisy began her career as a general education instructor for adults. She then became a teacher at the Daniella Jeffry vocational high school, where she continues to work. At the same time, she became a union representative for the Union of Education Personnel in Guadeloupe (SPEG).
During the first territorial elections of the Collectivité of Saint-Martin in 2007, she was part of the candidate list led by Alain Richardson. She was elected 3rd vice-president in the 2022 territorial elections.
