Message of condolences from President Gibbs: Death of Mr. Serge REMY

“I would like to salute the memory of Mr. Serge REMY, a school teacher appreciated in Saint-Martin for his professionalism and kindness. He worked in several public schools in recent years and left each of his replacements with the memory of a person committed to the service of our youth, a colleague loved by all.

I address on behalf from the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. REMY. I also have a heartfelt thought for his fellow teachers and the entire school community of the Evelyna Halley nursery school in Marigot, where he worked.

The circumstances of his death particularly upset us. Today we are all moved by his disappearance, and we share in the grief of his family. ".
