URBIS company finalizes its census work

The Collectivité de Saint-Martin has commissioned URBIS SAS to conduct a complete inventory of economic activities and facilities in the area and to adapt its economic development strategy to the needs of businesses. Since April 2024, URBIS has begun its mission by meeting with businesses in the area.

The Attractiveness, Economy and Employment delegation of the Collectivité, under the aegis of First Vice-President Alain Richardson, is leading a mission to inventory the economic activities of the French part of Saint-Martin. Through this inventory, the Attractiveness, Economy and Employment delegation of the Collectivité wishes to acquire a detailed and precise knowledge of the economic actors and more generally of all the entities participating in the territorial dynamism.

The objective is to:

  • Understanding the environment and the difficulties encountered by stakeholders in developing their activities
  • Meeting the needs of economic players in terms of equipment

Since April 17, 2024, the company URBIS SAS, commissioned by the Collectivité, has been carrying out this inventory in the field. Investigators from the company went to meet with companies in the area in order to collect information on their activities from a questionnaire. They are currently continuing the last phase of the investigations.

URBIS investigators must be provided with an identification badge and a letter of accreditation from the Collectivité.

The Collectivité invites companies to give a warm welcome to the company URBIS SAS, which is continuing its field visits until next April.
