Temporary closure of Sandy Ground and Galisbay car parks

As part of the organization of driving license exams from February 26 to March 1, 2024, the parking lot at the Albéric RICHARDS stadium and the Galisbay parking lot will be temporarily unavailable according to a schedule.

Motorists and local residents are therefore invited to avoid any inconvenient parking.

For the Sandy Ground car park

As part of the organization of monthly practical driving license exams, the following is brought to the attention of motorists and residents of the Sandy-Ground and Morne Rond sector:

  • The parking lot at the Albéric RICHARDS stadium will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday February 28, 2024, for the Motocross events to take place. As such, training operations will be carried out from Monday February 26, 2024, in order to prepare and train candidates for the exams.
  • The Territorial Police services will ensure that they raise awareness, monitor and alert motorists and residents of these provisions, in order to avoid annoying parking;
  • Any vehicle parked prohibited on Wednesday February 28, 2024, will be moved at the expense and responsibility of its owner, by the services and agents of the Territorial Police.

For the Galisbay car park

As part of the organization of monthly practical driving license exams, the following is brought to the attention of motorists and residents of Galisbay:

The Galisbay car park is a driving license test center during the week of March 26 to 1, 2024;

As such, on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 and Friday March 1 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday February 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. driving tests are planned for the B license (driving a small vehicle);

On Thursday February 29, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. driving tests are planned for the heavy category of the driving license (license C, D and E);

The Territorial Police services will ensure that they raise awareness, monitor and alert motorists and residents of these provisions, in order to avoid annoying parking;

Any infraction will be reported and the vehicles removed at the owner's expense, in accordance with the regulations in force and the impound rates (Deliberation no. CE77-21-2014 of July 8, 2014).
