“Mr Roger PETIT has left us and we are really saddened by this sad news. Saint-Martin has just lost a figure on the island. Our thoughts and comfort are with his family.
Roger PETIT was a valued personality, he took part in the economic and tourist development of the island throughout his life. We salute his journey and say goodbye to a native of the country who, through his love for Saint-Martin, revealed himself to be a quick defender of the territory and a highly invested entrepreneur whose human and professional qualities were widely recognized.
My thoughts today go to the members of the PETIT family, with a special thought for his children. I share their pain and send them my unwavering support.
On behalf of the elected representatives of the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin, the employees of the Community and on my own behalf, I send my deepest condolences to the family of Roger PETIT. We send them our compassion to overcome this ordeal. ".
