President's condolences to families: Fatal accidents

“Sunday June 30, two tragic accidents occurred on the territory, leaving families on our island in mourning. We lost 2 young teenagers in a jet ski accident on the Simpson Bay lagoon, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, while on Sunday evening, two young people riding a moped on the Savane road lost their lives in an accident.

I would like to express, in my personal name and on behalf of the elected officials of the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin, all our condolences and our support to the families of the victims. We are devastated and very saddened by these terrible tragedies and we wish to extend our sympathy to the loved ones. We know how much this misfortune affects them, we all share in this immense pain. The gendarmerie investigations will have to define the causes of these two separate accidents, under the authority of the Basse-Terre Public Prosecutor's Office.

I renew my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones and send them all our comfort for overcome this painful ordeal. ".
