Securing pedestrians and athletes
The aim of the Collectivité is above all to ensure the safety of pedestrians and sportspeople using this route, but also to prevent motorists from overtaking on the verges during traffic jams.
Technical services agents are continuing work to improve the living environment under the aegis of the Living Environment and Ecological Transition Delegation and the department in charge of the work:
- Renovation work on the taxi parking lot in Marigot. A final phase will allow this development to be finalized by the end of June.
- Filling holes in the road axes to make the route safer.
- Repairs are currently being carried out in schools pending the renovation programme planned during the long school holidays.
- The technical services are also responsible for renovating the new public procurement premises of the Collectivité.
The Collectivité 's services are also involved in weekly work, in particular the installation of signage panels in the northern sector of the island.
