ITSEE - An in-depth study on the population census
The Territorial Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies of Saint-Martin (ITSEE) organized a major press conference at the Grand Case Beach Club in Grand Case on February 7, marking the very first in-depth exploration of the population census figures for our territory.

An unprecedented look
First Vice-President Alain RICHARDSON, President of ITSEE Saint-Martin, thus recalled the crucial interest of the work carried out by the Institute in terms of collecting data on the territory, hitherto little-known.
The indicators unveiled at this conference are particularly edifying. They offer an unprecedented look at major aspects such as the evolution of the total population of Saint-Martin, its natural balance (Deaths vs. Births), the migratory balance (Entries vs. Exits), the distribution by CSP or age groups or even the levels of diploma with a focus on higher education.

Understanding local demographics
These initial analyses shed new light on the demographic dynamics of Saint-Martin, highlighting previously unexplored trends.
In terms of housing, particular attention was paid to the surprising change in the number of vacant dwellings.
As President Alain Richardson pointed out, this press conference marks a significant milestone in understanding local demographics and paves the way for strategic initiatives to shape the future of Saint Martin. The Institute is committed to continuing this transparent collaboration with the press to inform the public on socio-demographic developments that are crucial to the community and governance.
