Blue economy: Saint-Martin on the road to the France Station Nautique level 2 label
On October 15, 2024, an important step was taken for the development of nautical tourism in Saint-Martin.

The territorial councillor, in charge of the blue economy, Mrs Valérie Fonrose, accompanied by the techniques of the Collectivité, Messrs Alan Lebout Ayassami, blue economy project manager, and Elie Touzé, director of green growth and the blue economy, supported, in person, the island's application to obtain the level 2 France Station Nautique label.
The Tourist Office, represented by videoconference by its director Aïda Weinum, also provided arguments in favor of this initiative.
This nationally recognized label promotes destinations offering diversity and quality of nautical services. Obtaining this certification would strengthen Saint-Martin’s position as a leading destination for water sports and leisure. The unanimous support of these key players marks the territory’s strong commitment to promoting the sustainable blue economy and attracting an international clientele.
Ultimately, the Level 2 Nautical Resort Label would allow Saint-Martin to highlight its maritime assets, while guaranteeing sustainable and harmonious development of its nautical infrastructures. The final decision is expected in the coming months.
