Since 2007, energy on the island has been a responsibility of the Collectivité, and no longer of the French State.

In accordance with this provision, the Territorial Council recently adopted its local energy code, a mandatory document for maintaining tariff equalization.

This code constitutes a basis for the drafting of the Multi-annual Energy Program (PPE).
