The origins of the Saint-Martin National Nature Reserve (RNN)

The Saint-Martin nature reserve is a 30km² marine protected area located in the north-east of the island.

Created in 1998, this space was designed to preserve the five main ecosystems of the area:
- Coral reefs
- mangroves
- phanerogam herbaria
- ponds
- coastal dry forest.
