Manage the crisis with support

The complete guide “I do business in Saint-Martin” details the measures intended for difficult periods in the life of a business (at the bottom of the page).

Among them, companies in a situation of financial fragility (ie at risk of bankruptcy) can request support from the Commission for Business Life and Productive Development (CVEDP).

In partnership with decentralized State services and institutional and socio-professional actors, this organization strives to:

- Intervene as a facilitator with companies, particularly companies in difficulty
- Set up and lead an operational business monitoring and support unit (COSAE)
- Improve the economic climate in the territory by promoting government measures.

Its priorities are:

  • Early detection of the financial fragilities of companies: it is essential to be able to identify fragile companies as early as possible in order to make them aware of the aid, measures and procedures likely to provide them with the support they need.
  • Guiding companies in fragile situations towards the best system: advice and an appropriate response must be provided quickly to each company that expresses the need to be supported, and in particular to those whose financial fragility has been identified
  • The proposal of a solution adapted to each situation.

How to benefit from this support?

The company must first communicate its needs to the “Business Development” services of DEETS at the Prefecture of Saint-Martin for an initial analysis of the situation. If DEETS considers it necessary, it will refer the company to CVEDP.
