Inauguration of a third place in Quartier d'Orléans
Territorial Councillor Steven Cocks represented the President of the Collectivité, Mr Louis Mussington, at the inauguration of the Orleans neighborhood third place.

Born from an unprecedented collaboration between a consortium of 6 local socio-economic actors (ADIE, CCISM, ISMA, JIELLE FORMATION, FORE ILES DU NORD and COMPAGNONS BATISSEURS), the third place in the Orléans district is a first in Saint-Martin.
The Compagnons Batisseurs are responsible for the administrative support of the Tiers-lieu, the winning project of the DEFFINOV call for projects for the creation of a third-place training center, financed by the public authorities to the tune of €350,000 over 3 years.
This place of exchange and training welcomes users wishing to follow training courses in the construction sector in particular, and anyone wishing to share social remobilization activities.
The Compagnons Batisseurs work in collaboration with integration associations, MAISONS France SERVICES, LADOM, RSMA, the RED CROSS, the CMP and the public hospital.
The third place and its facilities are at the service of local residents, young people, and project leaders who need support in their life journey.
Councillor Steven Cocks welcomed this wonderful solidarity initiative, highlighting the usefulness of the place:
“This place is not just a gathering place, it is a space for meetings, training, and collaboration. It is a creative, inspiring place where ideas can emerge, where talents can express themselves and flourish.”
