The territory of Saint-Martin faces significant challenges in terms of the precariousness of its private real estate stock, a high rate of vacant housing and degradation affecting owner-occupiers, lessors and tenants.

This agreement, co-signed by the State, the National Housing Agency and the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, should enable the deployment of an intervention policy on private housing, by promoting the definition of a program of aid for the improvement of buildings specific to Saint-Martin.

It is in the continuity of the projects carried out by the mandate that President Louis MUSSINGTON has committed to combating degraded housing. The objective for the President and his team is to take concrete action to allow the inhabitants of Saint-Martin to live in decent housing that respects the law.
