Real learning and training opportunities offered by the Community

A strong commitment
Wednesday September 6, 2023, the president Louis Mussington, the 3rd vice-president Dominique Démocrite Louisy and the territorial advisor Martine Beldor, president of the Employment, Skills, Training committee, held a back-to-school press conference, focused on two central themes: back to school and the start of professional training.
Very committed to the apprenticeship and professional training of young Saint-Martin residents who share the same objective, the President and his team wanted to communicate with the media on the back-to-school process and present the professional training programs currently open to the public in the region.


The strong points
Among the strong points of this conference, the figures presented by Vice-President Dominique LOUISY, in the field of education:
- €1.7M dedicated to grants to establishments in 2nd level (colleagues and high schools)
- €200,000 for equipment for 1st level schools
- €2M for mobility assistance and scholarships studies whose amounts have been doubled since 2022 (financed with the help of European funds).
In terms of professional training, advisor Martine BELDOR presented the new innovative training courses, in the sectors of health and social, crafts, tourism and construction.
The Community of Saint-Martin is working hard this year and is offering a particularly diverse range of training.

President Louis MUSSINGTON recalled the investment of the Community which puts significant resources into the training of Saint-Martin residents, with the support of European funds, to offer real opportunities to those who wish to train and access employment, through studies or professional training.
