Celebration of the Feast of Saint-Martin in Paris

While the two parts of the island gathered in Philipsburg to celebrate the traditional festival of the island, last Saturday, November 11, the Antenna of the Community in Paris - the Maison de Saint-Martin – it also marked the event by organizing a small party in its premises on rue de Varenne, in the presence of a few guests. Thus, Saint-Martin's Day was celebrated as it should be on Friendly Island but also in the capital.
Among the guests, the Member of Parliament for Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, Madame Claire Javois, who took advantage this opportunity to thank all of the community's partners and the many volunteers who worked from the first days after Hurricane IRMA, to organize the collection of donations for the victims and their delivery to Saint-Martin. br />It is around the message “SXM SMILE AGAIN” slogan carried by the Saint-Martin Tourist Office, that the volunteers and partners invited for the occasion were able to enjoy a nice buffet of traditional dishes Saint-Martinois, in a friendly atmosphere.
The Collectivity of Saint-Martin would like to salute all the communities, departments, regions and communes of France, the numerous schools, the partners based throughout France and the volunteers who spontaneously lent a helping hand and who mobilized without reservation, to come to the aid of Saint-Martin after the passage of IRMA.
This edition of Saint-Martin's Day was celebrated in a particular context, but it allowed many Saint-Martin residents to come together - here or elsewhere - and share a moment of unity and conviviality in difficult times.
