Back to school
A partial return to school, based on half-days of classes, began this Monday, October 2, 2017. 4 establishments meeting safety standards were opened. The college and elementary schools Clair Saint-Maximin and Omer Arrondell in Quartier d'Orléans, as well as the Cité Scolaire.
The program of activities planned as part of the educational project developed for Saint-Martin by the services of the Education, consists of welcoming CE2, CM1 and CM2 students in the morning from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and CP and CE1 students from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ten workshops will be offered to students (reading, computers, educational games, sciences, etc.), until the All Saints' Day holidays.
At the Quartier d'Orléans college, 4th and 3rd grade classes are welcomed from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and those of 6th and 5th grade from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. While at the Cité scolaire, 6th, 5th and 4th grade middle school students, as well as Secondary students are expected from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. High school, 1st of Terminale and BTS students are welcomed from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Rectorate plans other openings of establishments by next week.
Prohibition of movement: 11 p.m. – 5 a.m.
The ban on movement in the territory of the community of Saint-Martin has been set from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. from this evening, by prefectural decree.

The EDF network
Out of 16,000 homes, 12,000 are supplied with electricity.
Out of 241 stations transformation, 231 are now secure
All schools (public and private) are replenished with electricity
25 generators have been installed in areas where the networks have not yet been rehabilitated. These generators can power around twenty homes.
To put the Saint-Martin network back into operation, EDF has mobilized 200 operational staff, a service 7 days a week is provided.
Cleaning the area
br />The cleaning of the territory continues. The community plans a gradual return to normal of the cleaning program. Around 25 companies will continue to intervene on behalf of the community, with the aim of returning to normal operations from Monday October 9, 2017.

Distribution
According to the figures provided by the Frigodom refrigeration company, based at the port of Galisbay and requisitioned by the state, 204 tonnes of water and foodstuffs have been distributed in Saint-Martin since the passage of Hurricane Irma. These donations were distributed to the population of Saint-Martin by civil security, firefighters and the community of Saint-Martin. Distribution management was carried out by the state COD 917 and 972.
137 pallets of food were stored, including 20,000 combat rations and 29 pallets of water. 300m3 of water will arrive this Wednesday to be distributed to the population.
As for the material (tarpaulins – jails – wood), the community has set up an organization under the authority of the Port director aimed at receiving these donations and distribute them.

Public service
The community pursues its public service mission. It has set up civil status offices, Saturday October 7 and Saturday October 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., to allow affected people to carry out their formalities: passport application, identity card, civil status documents.
Community services are open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
