Improvement of the banks of the Cul de Sac pontoon

The Community has carried out work to silt up and strengthen the banks in the bay of Cul de Sac. The aim of this work was to clear access to the Pinel pontoon frequently used by ferry boats which transport passengers to the tourist islet.

The work consisted of laying riprap to consolidate soils through compaction of aggregates and sand. The shortage of sand on the site caused by the intensive cleaning of sargassum algae by construction equipment a few weeks ago made the implementation of this work necessary and urgent.
